From July 26, 2007 till September 9, 2007 the Little Mermaid has its pre-Broadway try out at the Denver Center for the Performing arts and after 6 six weeks of sold out performances, the musical's previews on Broadway began on November 3, 2007. After being shutdown due to a strike on November 10 2007, Little Mermaid New York previews resumed on November 29, 2007 and was officially opened on January 10, 2008. Just like the original feature film, musical has been adored by the audiences of all age groups, while the musical received sort of mixed reviews by the critics.

October 18 2001 saw the premiere of Mamma Mia! in New York on Broadway Productions at the Winter Garden Theatre. Prior to its premiere on Broadway Mamma Mia! went through 14 previews. The original cast of the Broadway Productions includes Tina Maddigan who plays the lead role of Sophie while Louise Pitre plays Sophie's mother Donna. The roles of Tanya and Sky are played by Karen Mason and Joe Machota respectively. The musical takes when Sophie is about to get married and dreams of being walked on aisle with her father but she is unaware of who her father is.
